It depends on her type of person -- she may be the type who doesn't text much, and prefers to speak in person. firstly, texting is not normal, perhaps she doesnt have texting in her cell phone plan. If you are texting hey and expect her to respond, you are not leaving much of an opening for conversation, try to add more substance to your texts and see if that helps.
