Honestly, It is. It depends on the person, the problem, and the help needed. It all depends on the situation some people do need help for several years. I myself do to past problems and sexual abuse have seen the same therapist for four years now. If it doesn't feel normal anymore then you need to establish communication with your therapist and ask whether it is time to move on and have an "exit" meeting, or to change therapist. This is PART of their job, it is a relationship for both of you, and it should be open and honest. If you aren't seeing a therapist and wondering if its normal, it is.

Im 22 years old m and didnt talk to girl before am i normal?

If you are a 22 year old male and haven't talked to a girl, you probably are not exactly normal unless you have been in a situation where you were unable to talk to girls. You might want to check with your family doctor or a psychologist to see if your shyness is something that can be corrected.

What are the major services that will be provided to patient of a psychologist?

The role of psychologists has changed greatly in the last well 20 years I suppose. A psychologist can offer psychological testing, therapy, and usually works in tandem with a Psychiatrist to offer needed medications. Does talking about your feelings of loss and sadness is one of the most steps toward normal mental health?

Yes, it is very important that a person talk about their feelings of loss and sadness either to a member of the family; friend; Pastor or Priest or a psychologist. Grieving for a loss which leads to sadness is very normal and each person grieves in their own way and in their own time span. However, if it continues on for a few months and interferes with their life or job then it is time to talk to a good friend or see a psychologist in order to have good mental health.

Is having no feelings normal?

If you're depressed, talk to a doctor. Otherwise, I experience this quite often myself. Even at a funeral for a family member of mine, I was having a hard timegrieving I couldn't cry, I just felt numb. Maybe talk to a close friend or a psychologist but unless your depressed and suicidal, I think you're okay.
