Honestly, It is. It depends on the person, the problem, and the help needed. It all depends on the situation some people do need help for several years. I myself do to past problems and sexual abuse have seen the same therapist for four years now. If it doesn't feel normal anymore then you need to establish communication with your therapist and ask whether it is time to move on and have an "exit" meeting, or to change therapist. This is PART of their job, it is a relationship for both of you, and it should be open and honest. If you aren't seeing a therapist and wondering if its normal, it is.
If you are a 22 year old male and haven't talked to a girl, you probably are not exactly normal unless you have been in a situation where you were unable to talk to girls. You might want to check with your family doctor or a psychologist to see if your shyness is something that can be corrected.
The role of psychologists has changed greatly in the last well 20 years I suppose. A psychologist can offer psychological testing, therapy, and usually works in tandem with a Psychiatrist to offer needed medications. The Psychologist is going to be the one you talk to and the Psychiatrist will give you pills based on his and the psychologist's assessment of your situation
i don't know but you should probably talk to your parents and go see a psychologist as soon as possible!
It is not normal to be grieving a death after 2 years. You should talk to a grief counselor or certified therapist.
you just speak to her in a normal voice
you might not be able to get the child to talk about their problem.
The daily duties of a CHILD psychologist are to * talk to the child[ren] about their problems and social issues * help them become more familiar with their problems * Talk and help them realize their problems or problems around them and try to solve them.
Yes, it is very important that a person talk about their feelings of loss and sadness either to a member of the family; friend; Pastor or Priest or a psychologist. Grieving for a loss which leads to sadness is very normal and each person grieves in their own way and in their own time span. However, if it continues on for a few months and interferes with their life or job then it is time to talk to a good friend or see a psychologist in order to have good mental health.
