No, it's not normal. If your periods were irregular before using the Nuva Ring, it is to be expected that they will return to their irregular habit.

Anyone who's been three months without a period and is not using hormonal Birth Control should see her health care provider for an exam.

When you take out your last Nuva Ring, you'll probably get your typical withdrawal bleeding. After that, your next period usually comes in 4-6 weeks, if your periods were regular before using Nuva Ring. If you were irregular before using the ring, you are likely to return to your irregular habit after you stop.

Actually, yes. The way it is for my period while on NuvaRing is after three days of it being out, my period starts. It's like clockwork. But I recall the first time I used Nuvaring my period was about a week and a half late. I was freaking out too because I thought I was pregnant. But luckily, I got my period.

Like any hormonal birth control method, Nuva Ring is likely to cause lighter flow and shorter periods than you had before you started on it.

Sometimes, on Nuva Ring, the flow gets so light that you don't notice anything at all. That is normal, and there's no need for concern if you used the ring correctly last month. But since it's the very first month, you certainly should take a pregnancy test to double-check.

Whatever bleeding you have, just keep using the ring on the schedule on your calendar, regardless of bleeding.

NO. If you have been having sex you may be pregnant. The Nuvaring is designed to be used for 3 weeks on and one week off. Using it for just a week will not have protected you.

Can you still get your period the same times of the month after not using the nuva ring?

When you stop using the Nuva Ring, the timing of your cycle may change. You may or may not keep getting your period at the same time of the month.

Can using a expired nuva ring stop your period when its first starting?

Maybe, but it could also cause irregular bleeding and spotting. If not having a period on certain day was important to me, I'd plan for that a month in advance, as doing something at the last minute can backfire.

Will you have a normal period the first month you get off birth control?

It's very unlikely that you'd have a normal period the first month off birth control (I'm assuming by 'birth control' what you actually mean is the combination pill - please don't use these terms interchangeably, there are many forms of birth control!). Your first 'period' will be your withdrawal bleed as normal, but after that it may take a few months to get a real period again. It can also take up to 12 months for your cycles to regulate again once you stop using hormonal birth control.

Can using a yeast infection cream delay your period?

No. Using a topical cream will not delay your period. Your period is set on a 28 day cycle if your cycle is normal. Using a cream to relieve the symptoms of a yeast infection has nothing to do with your womb.

Birth control doesn't kill sperm. Chances are if you started taking it the day after your period ended you're okay but they recommend using other contraceptives for the first month.

If you start using birth control on the Monday after your cycle will it still be effective?

birth control becomes effective after the first month of use. So you would begin the pill after your period, use up a pack, get your period and then you are protected. everytime after that, you have nothing to worry about unless you mess up on your pills.

You stopped using the nuva ring a month ago but your period is not normal why?

You will probably ovulate 3-5 weeks after removing the ring and get your next period 5-7 weeks later. You may have spotting during those first few weeks off the ring. You're still in the middle of this process.

My period is late on birth control I'm in the second month's placebos and I was wondering if it was normal or if there was something else used pull-out and condom during sex Please help?

Using a condom is very good. This will give you 100% protection against pregnancy when used in conjunction with birth control. However if you had intercourse without using a condom during the first month of starting birth control then there is a risk of pregnancy. Because your period hasn't arrived yet I would recommend you perform a pregnancy test.
