I'm guessing this is about drinking alcohol.

There's no single, simple answer to that. Most would agree that getting drunk in front of your children is setting a bad example, but after that, opinions will most likely differ.

It is known that kids that have grown up in families where alcohol is frequently and openly consumed are likely to start drinking earlier than kids from families where less alcohol was consumed.

And it's also known that people who start drinking early are more prone to get into trouble by alcohol abuse than those who start later.

But trying to pin down a limit, where everything below is OK, and everything above is BAD, just isn't doable.
