Smoothies can contain all the vitamins and minerals a body needs to heal, depending on the contents of course...
The only problem is smoothies are usually frozen fruits that are blended, making it about the coldest thing you can put in your body. When you are sick, your body expends much of it's energy to stay warm.
I suggest drinking something hot so your body can digest what it needs quickly without using excess energy to warm it first.
The body doesn't digest much until the food item is up to temperature. Around 98.6*
I believe hot water works the best because it isn't saturated with anything else, leaving it available to absorb the nutrients from the smoothie.
Smoothies are OK to drink the day after you make them, provided that they have been refrigerated. If you just leave them out on the counter, then no, they are not OK to drink.

It mostly depends on the person. My observations have concluded that the majority of people drink smoothies. This also depends on your definition of "drink" and "eat" if your definition of eat involves chewing (as is the general consensus) then I would conclude that the correct word to use is "drink" because people do not usually chew smoothies. However, it has been pointed out that many people do not chew ice cream, yet it is universally agreed that you eat ice cream. Perhaps this is because ice cream is undeniably solid. Smoothies seem to be in between solid and liquid, but I would classify them as liquid because despite the thickness, smoothies have a viscosity and do not have a definite shape. Therefore, you drink a smoothie.
