No. Your head gasket or block is likely cracked.
Yes!!!! you have to have at least 50/50 in it. Do not drive with just water.
Engine? 3.1L V6 are notorious for intake manifold gasket leaks. get it fixed soon or your engine is at risk. My Lumina had oil in coolant and coolant in oil. If there is tan foamy stuff on oil fill cap, coolant is in oil too.
is there water in the oil, and now sign of damage on the head by an engine machinist, it might have a hairline crack in the block
Normally a sign of a coolant leak in the oil cooler. Replace ASAP.
If this dodge van is an Xplorer You have a larger than normal coolant capacity as the coolant is used to heat water in your water heater for more. Xplorer Owners Club at Yahoo Groups .com
Perhaps low coolant level This is true, but why???? It's the first sign of a bad intake manifold gasket. Coolant leaking into the oil chambers of your van and into the oil. If this doesn't get fix for about $700, the oil will break down because of the coolant and then the internal parts of your engine will break. New Engine!!!
That water is from condensation which is normal. However, if it is engine coolant you have big problems.
what is the coolant capacity of a ford escort van 1,8
blown head gasket!
Engine coolant.
Drive it. No special steps necesary, if radiator had coolant changed it will bleed its self, top off after it gets to full operating temperature then cools, Never pop a hot radiator cap
Sounds like the low coolant warning light Check the coolant level
