I think that it would be okay, because I have two male guinea pigs and males are naturally territoral so they need their space, but many people say that they keep two males in one cage without them fighting. But if you have two females/ a male and a female/ or two males that get along really well or have grown up together, I would suggest that they should definetely be put in the same cage. Guinea pigs are herd animals and they are very social. It would comfort them alot to know there is another one of their species with them. It also provides them with someone to play with whenever you are gone.
guinea pigs
With separate sides and protection
Guinea pigs only sleep for about 6 minutes a day, unless your hamster runs around 24/7 it wont keep them up.
You need to keep any males out of the same cage that a pregnant female is in. You can keep other females with the pregnant one. If you think you may have a problem with the pregnant one, you can cage her by herself.
Guinea pigs generally like their cage as it provides them with a safe and secure space to retreat to. However, it's important for the cage to be spacious enough to allow for exercise and enrichment activities. Regular cleaning and cage maintenance are also necessary to ensure their well-being.
No its not, i guinea pigs cage is way bigger. & you should not have the same size of guinea pig cage as your hampster.
Immediatly separate the pig that isn't the mom and keep her in a separate cage until the baby is older.Otherwise the baby might get hurt.
They are not used to sharing. It is a good idea to buy a separate cage and put them next to each other and then they will know that they wanted to play with each other. Guinea Pigs will get used to the other Guinea pig if you leave it in the cage a little.
I would not recommend it. Just have the Mother Guinea Pig in with her babies separately. Sometimes the other guinea pigs can get excited and accidentally stomp the babies to death so best to keep Mom & babies separate.
It's true some guinea pigs can't get pregnant. Only if you don't keep her in a cage without any boys!
Yes! It is alright to cage them seperatly but guinea pigs love company and may get lonely. 3 is the best number of guinea pigs to keep in one large cage so that way if one cage mate dies, the others will not miss it so terribly as if it were the only one.
no guinea pigs are herd animals while hamsters need there privacy
