Yes, the fry do quite well in the tank.
The female guppy will be very large and will have a gravid spot near her anus. But when she is ready to give birth she will be very still and huddling near the heater in your tank.
yes,she did
If there are males and females in the same tank,.... No. Not ever. Nope. 1. Live-bearers mate constantly. 2.Female live-bearers give birth monthly.(On average) 3. Female live-bearers can store sperm
If your female guppy has been in a tank/container with a male since it reached maturity it will be gravid (pregnant). Give it time. The fry will come eventually
The Gravid female will have the dark "gravid spot" in front of her vent. I can however assure you that if there has been a male in the same tank with a female guppy for any reasonable length of time she will be gravid.
Well, since the females could be pregnant when you buy them, all male would be better.
The Truth is Guppies don't Have Eggs. They Give Birth to Live Young. When you see a Little Black Spot on your Guppy (to us it would be the below the rib area) that means your Guppy is Pregnet if your Pregnet Guppy is starting to not eat that means its ether Dieing or Pregnet Sid Effects. In about a Day or two Move HER to a diffrent tank. Once the Female has had her Young Move Her back to the main Tank (If not She will eat her Young :( )Feeding the Guppy YoungYou need to Feed the Guppy Babys The Flakes in REALLY little Pieses. The Big MoveAfter Two Weeks You can Move the Guppies to the Main tank.Guppy BreedingIf you have a Male and Female Guppy you will be having Babys MonthlyYou will Need to Follow the Steps Above To have a Heathy Guppy Family
There are several things you can do. The first....is nothing. Especially if the birthing has already begun. The guppies are likely to try eating the fry (babies) but a few may survive. But try describing the blob a bit better. Because they don't give birth on their side.
I had a problem like this, a couple of fish pregnant at the same time. I would either keep them all the female guppies in the birthing tank or keep them in the community tank and when one of the female guppies give birth put the baby in the birthing tank. I did the second option and it was quite good, just don't overcrowd the birthing tank. :)
there is not much difference but it is actually not called a fancy guppy its called a fancy tailed guppies because they have beautiful tails but beware if you have a male and female guppy or fancy tail guppy in the same tank the female will get pregnant and after the babies are born you must separate them or most of the babies will be eaten but beware the babies you can hardly see.
maybe its dead although usually they float. depends what colour it is.
female guppies can produce 2-3 genaration in a year
