Being deprived of sleep depending on the person at two days you can start seeing hallucinations. Also feeling irritation and jittery is another symptom. I would not recommend not sleeping for two days.

How active should we be?

Active = healthy you. To keep your body in tip top shape, we do need to be active. And this doesn't mean going shopping or getting up from the couch. This mean doing ACIVITIES. The more active you are the more healthy you will be. Being active keeps you blood moving, your heart rate steady, and burns fat, it also helps your digestion. A person should walk every day, or take a run or two. You'll build muscles, burn calories, and keep your body strong. So, try and get out for an morning and evening walk or run every day. Plan days as activity days, like kayaking or hitting the baseball feild to play a family game. You'll notice yourself less achey, healthier, and more energetic. You'll alos be able to sleep at night. We need to be active. Whether its sports or a jog, keep it up!

Are Chinese hamsters active and fun in the daytime?

yes and no, I have a Chinese hamster and he is active in day time. But he/she will sleep allot in the daytime also unless trained not to. To train a hamster to sleep at night and play in the day is hard but doable just play with them for 10 minutes every 2 or 3 hours during the day then after a few days slightly increase the play time and decrease the sleep time in the day and after a few days do it again. And soon your hamster will play in day and sleep at night.
