Yes, some cats will eat a moth if they catch it. Others won't know what to do with it and release it. But mostly yes, cats will eat most bugs if they catch them, especially when it's inside their house.

Flies would definitely eat a dead caterpillar. However, because of the size difference, a fly would probably not be able to eat a live caterpillar.
