Almost all of us are acquainted with the cliche that everybody loves surprises, especially women. I would like to answer the question based on my opinion and with what I have experienced.
I believe that, yes! It is absolutely okay. However, if you would only stick to the that idea alone, that I think it would be better to directly give youre present to her. What I'm trying to say here is that, leave the present and make sure that it doesn't end right from there. Try to add something. You can put a map inside leading to the next clue then to the next until it reaches the "X" mark. Make it adventurous!
So, it is absolutely okay but be sure that she will be the first to see the gift. Tip: make it adventurous! Be creative!
