My nephew was unofficially diagnosed with bipolar at 4 yrs old. The official diagnosis was ADHD and a probable anxiety disorder. He's 15 now and indeed he is bipolar, type 1. He's been hospitalized many times. I think it is controversial diagnosing 'labeling' children so young and I don't know how they differentiate the two. A huge problem is the medications given to control the disorders. My nephew and son (also type 1 bipolar) cannot take ADHD medications. It sends them into mania - window breaking, can't blink mania. For them this fact was helpful in diagnosis.
i believe it is possible, but rare at that age. however adolescent bipolar symptomatology is somewhat different than adult bipolar symptomatology and is therefore much harder to diagnose.
Yes. Its hard to do, but it happens.
Absolutely.
yes, it is somewhat unusual but possible.
Yes, it is possible that you could have it, as Bipolar is a genetic disease, however it is not a guarantee that you will definitely have it.
Depression is a part of bipolar disorder, and yes it is possible to hide it. It's not healthy, but it can be done. What's harder to hide is the manic phase of bipolar.
yes it is possible. Bipolar is very difficult to diagnose, especially in teens. Bipolar has similar aspects as ocd. infact Bipolar has many other traits similar to many, many other disorders, that's why it is so hard to diagnose. But yes it is possible. hope this helps
Yes you can in fact go to a treatment center for a bipolar disorder. You will have to see what is available in your area.
No One, because Macy Gray do not suffer of the bipolar disorder.
Yes. That is possible.
Bipolar does not cause any physical problems. If you are asking if your child could grow up and have bipolar, too, yes that is possible because it does occur in families.
Yes.
yes, its possible
it's possible
it can be possible. a 12-year-old is still like a kid. if the mom has a baby at a young age it can be possible.
