your question is not clear

but fro what i could understand, i can tell you that frictional force always opposes motion of mechanical system ( so it would decrease the system's mechanical energy)

therefore i can never increase it.

Are there any situations in which a frictional force can increase the mechanical energy of a system?

No. Friction always acts in the direction opposite to motion, and dissipates energy.

Why doesn't the principle of mechanical energy conservation hold in situations when frictional forces are present?

In the case of friction, energy is wasted, i.e., mechanical energy is converted into useless energy, mainly heat.

What are frictional losses?

Inefficiencies in a mechanical device related to parts rubbing together such that kinetic energy is turned into heat energy.

How is mechanical energy conserved?

It isn't. Sooner or later some mechanical energy will be wasted and converted to heat. It is also possible to convert other types of energy into mechanical energy. It isn't. Is it possible to convert heat energy into mechanical energy?

yes it is.

Why is it not possible to convert complete heat energy to mechanical energy?

It is possible. In fact it is an everyday occurrence.

Why do power plant designers try to increase the temperature of the steam fed to engines as much as possible?

The hotter the steam the higher the energy in the steam and the more energy to be transformed to mechanical motion.

When an ice cube melts does its mechanical energy increase?

yes

What happens to internal energy when mechanical work is done?

Increase.

How can mechanical energy be turned into nuclear energy?

This is not possible, nuclear energy arises because of nuclear reactions which are not influenced by mechanical application to a material.

A generator transforms?

A generator transforms mechanical energy into electrical energy.

Do ice cubes melt when their mechanical energy increase?

hecky yeah it does
