It depends. If a monkey and a human mate then the female may conceive the baby but the baby will be sterile. But the species mated must have a close match in DNA otherwise a baby will not be conceived.NO IT IS ABSOLUTELY NOT POSSIBLE FOR A HUMAN TO GIVE BIRTH TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN ANOTHER HUMAN, THE DNA, BLOOD AND TISSUE TYPE IS NOT COMPATIBLE. If a primate embryo was implanted in a human , the humans immune system would attack the embryo as an invading foreign body and destroy it.

How do the doctors know who is eligible for a transplant?

The patient goes through a "transplant assessment" - blood tests, MRI's, EEG's, ECG's, psychological assessment's, ultra sounds and x rays (and some other stuff) to check that they are suitable candidates. Only if they pass all of these are they considered "eligible" for a transplant.

Will womb transplants or embryo implants for transsexual women be carried out soon?

After much research, I have found that it is possible, but risky. Sarah Luiz, a transsexual woman (though incorrectly called a transgendered person in the press), is a recipient for the womb transplant but even if she does get a transplant her baby is still in risk because her immuno-suppressants (to keep her body from rejecting the womb) may harm the baby. I do hope she gets the womb transplant; it will be a break through for all the young TS women wanting to give birth.

How do you get register for a heart transplant?

You have to go through a "transplant assessment" at a hospital that performs heart transplants. The assesment is usually a 3-day to 1 week inpatient procedure, involving blood tests, EEG's, ECG's, ultrasounds, X-rays ,MRI's and a psychological assessment. There may be some other tests too. If you pass all of these, you will be considered a suitable candidate for a heart transplant and your name will be added to the transplant waiting list.
