Is it possible for asthma to develop when someone is older for instance can a 30 yr old person just devlop asthma seemingly overnight?

Yes. I know of a person whose lungs were damaged after a long bout with "walking" pneumonia. She was 31, and after she recuperated from pneumonia, she was diagnosed with Asthma and has had to take asthma medications and ventilator treatments ever since.

Yes, you can. However, usually the occurence of asthma is not seemingly overnight. Commonly, people believe that the symptoms just started one day, when in actuality, these symptoms probably have been showing up in your lifestyle for many years. Although, a change in lifestyle and or in weight can cause asthma to become prominent in someone who was previously healthy.
Also, asthma usually can be mistaken for other health problems as well, and should be brought up in a conversation with your doctor.
