Not all metallic elements are attracted to magnets, and most orthopedic implants are made of nonmagnetic alloys. The four strongly magnetic elements are iron, nickel, cobalt and gadolinium.

∙ 12y agoTitanium is paramagnetic, meaning it is attracted to a magnetic field but cannot become magnetized, or rather retain magnetism. Its permeability is at unity. After watching an episode of Bones, I was looking for the answer as I always thought titanium was nonmagnetic, but now I believe it would stick to a magnet.
