No, Jesus died on the cross. John 19:31-37 tells us that because the Preparation day was at hand the ones who were crucified had to be removed from the crosses. The soldiers would go around and break the legs of those who were alive and this would hasten their death because they could not raise themselves up enough to breathe. But when the soldiers came to Jesus he was already dead, but to make sure one soldier took his spear in stuck it in Jesus' side and blood and water came out. When this happens it means that the person is unquestionably dead.
