A Trojan horse tricks users into installing it by posing as legitimate software. A worm spreads on its own across networks without user action. A virus attaches to files or programs and spreads when they're run. Each behaves differently but can cause serious damage.

As far as I am aware, you can NOT get a virus on the iPod Touch 3G. I own one and use it to browse virus infested sites that would normally kill my computer. Have never had a problem with it. Though, it is possible to get multiple pop-ups, which is annoying, but unharmfull to the device.
OK I answer my own question. IT IS A VIRUS - trojan. So if it ever appears on your computer you need to get rid of it FAST. The only thing that managed to pick it up on my system was Norton. It basically hijacks any application that may connect to the internet such as IE, Firefox, realplayer etc etc

any virus can have a mind but not a will. i think that a virus spreads through the thought of having a virus in the body and it desires to spread.
