Yes, by special type of laser or electrolysis. It is very expensive. Yes. I'm a man who permanently removed, means destroyed, almost my entire mustach using electrolysis 17 years ago. It needn't be expensive though. I did it myself with a small portable product about the size of a ballpoint pen which cost only about $US15. Since 1989 I've been tweezing my beard and mustach with the belief that eventually these hairs will die. I continue to do it about 1-3 times yearly because I'm convinced I'm making slow progress. It's my long-term hobby. Over the years, there's less pain, the hairs come out much easier (years ago, some hairs were a real tug of war), there's less hairs, and there's less swelling. Every time I was finished tweezing my beard and mustach, on average about 23 hours, I'd think this is crazy, this is almost insane, and I think this is the last time I'm doing this. However, the last time I finished, 11 days ago, wasn't that bad. It was more of a nuisance than anything else, the last time. I'm sort of looking forward to it the next time. This experience may also be helpful for women with beards and mustaches similar to men's but incomplete, some sparse areas. Their condition is called hirsutism and I saw them in about 1995 on a TV talk show, probably Montel Williams or Jerry Springer. T.S.
