I DO think so. I have had it ever since i was a little girl, and here were/are my symptoms. -panic attacks -constant worrying -making everything in order. For me, everything sort of has to be in a pyramid formation, but in most cases, it is more along the whole straight line thing. that USED to be my case, but now it is liek this. -beign forced to repeat it wherever you go. -Feeling mixed emotions about almost everything. But yeah, and if youre 18 down, like me, you better confront your parents with this. btw, the only reason this is anonymous is the fact i dont have an account. Yet.X*
It sounds as though you may be suffering from a mild form of obsessive/compulsive disorder (OCD). If it is causing you problems, or you just want to do something about it, speak with a doctor -- preferably a psychiatrist. He or she will be able to suggest possible treatment. "Counting" is a mild form of OCD. It is treatable. Contact your local mental health association for a referral to a specialist who treats Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Yes it is. As far as compulsive behavior we all have some slight traces of it in ourselves. For example I can't go to bed until I check all windows and doors to be sure they are locked. It's no big deal to me and certainly doesn't bother my husband. If I should forget and go to bed, I'll get up and check. Other people may nail bite, twirl their hair until it hurts, some will constantly wash their hands, some have germ fetishes or other fetishes. As long as it doesn't take a great deal of time out of your life then it shouldn't be all that harmful.
Yes, it is possible to have a mild PTSD-like reaction following less severe stress.
The worst category for a disorder/disability would be profound.
It depends how mild it is.
