There are various ways to "overformat" a floppy disk so that it can hold more than its rated capacity. However, the maximum is about 1.72 MB, which would be too small for your file without compressing it in another format (like a zip file). Overformatted disks also generally don't work on newer operating systems (2000/XP/Vista).
It depends...when you see a hot girl... Your floppy disk might turn into a hard drive which is really big, but then it depends :)
A standard high density double-sided floppy disk holds about 1.44 mb.
Calculated size of floppy disk to hold the data is 1.47 MB while the actual size of it is 1.44 MB the difference is of 0.03 MB.explain
A floppy disk is about 5 MB big, so 5120 KB will fit on a floppy disk.
A standard 3.5" floppy disk holds significantly less than a gigabyte. As a fraction, a floppy holds about 1/711 of a gigabyte.
A standard floppy disk (those still found today) is 1.44MB in size. There's 1024 kilobytes in a megabyte, and 1024 bytes in a kilobyte. If the size was exact usable space, it would be 1.44 * 1024 * 1024, which is 1509949 bytes. Since it's not the usable size, the USABLE size of a floppy is 1440 * 1024, or 1474560 bytes. Each ASCII character is one byte, so a floppy can hold many characters.
The capacity of the most ubiquitous floppy is 1.44 MB. Floppies in other capacities have also been made.
