Certainly you can become less intelligent!

One of the old sayings that is still true is "Use it or lose it!" If you don't keep on learning new things, trying new skills, and exercising your brain, it will become less able to think for you. This is why many elderly people seem "out of it" sometimes.

You can also lost a LOT of intelligence by abusing drugs and alcohol. Flooding your body with harmful chemicals kills brain cells, and fewer brain cells means less intelligence.

Of course, you can lose intelligence through accident or disease as well, but it didn't seem as if you were asking about those.
