Yes, but why would you? Object oriented programming is about sending a message to an object. Console.WriteLine() is a perfect example: you are sending a message to Console to invoke its Writeline() method. Of course you can implement a WriteLine() function yourself, yet it is the same as sending a message to the calling object.
anObject.Method() is one of the basis. So why omit Console? Then which object will receive Writeline() message.
