I believe colleges and universities are concerned about the overall grade point average you have attained. I do not believe one D, unless your grade point average is low, will affect you getting accepted into an university. Just make sure that the rest of your grades are good. When I say that you should have good grades, don't just take the easy no-brainer classes in order to cushion your GPA. In addition to having good grades, it helps if they are good grades in harder classes. The harder classes will get you more prepared for college, and it will be more impressive to take the harder classes.
