Is it right for a seventh grader to get expelled for accidentally bring a airsoft gun to school?

Well airsoft guns are realistic training weapons. It does shoot a projectile that can injure another student. even among airsofters, if someone is being careless with one of the guns he can get kicked out. Bb's hurt and can cause permanent damage if used incorrectly.
