Safe will be determined by when and how often it slips. If you are towing up hil and it starts slipping, you may end up going backwards. If it slips as you are turning and you cant move you can get rear ended or otherwise crashed into. Check your fluid level, if its low, add a little. Follow the directions in your owners manual carefully, different trans fluids are NOT compatible and will cause damage.
The gears on a car provide the power to drive the wheels.
No.
any one who knows how to drive 6 gears can drive a 6 gear car .Most people who can drive a manual car can drive a 6 geared car.
Reverse, Drive, Low gears
it is safe to drive slower because you could get in a car accident if you drive really fast
NO! Depends on your definition of safe?
yes .. if the car is in drive and u put it in reverse.... bye bye gears
The driver is responsible for the condition of the car and the safety of passengers. It it is not safe to drive, don't.
Need to know if it is standard or automatic.
In most automatic cars, in Great Britain where I live, all you have to do is put the car into D (Drive) and push the accelerator. This will automatically change the gears of the car up and down.
Sometimes the torquconverter can fail causing the engin to stall. In reverse it lock in full torqu. In fwd gears it slips. This is only one idea.
Depends on your definition of safe.
