If there is motor oil in the antifreeze reservoir there is a good chance there is also antifreeze in the motor oil. This condition is probably the result of a bad head gasket or a cracked head. Antifreeze mixing with motor oil is a recipe for disaster for the engine. Have a trusted mechanic diagnose the situation soon as possible to hopefully avoid even more costly repairs.
Can anybody drive a vehicle (F-150) 4 miles without any antifreeze or coolant?
NO! Take it to a mechanic immediately. Call AAA at once, if you are a member. Oil is not antifreeze and antifreeze is not oil!
A person can test drive a Saturn Crossover by visiting their local Saturn dealer. The person who is wanting to test drive the vehicle will be require to provide a legal driver's license before being allowed to test drive the car.
No. I had a Saturn of that year and the handbook warns against it. no front wheel drive vehicle should be flat towed (using a chain or strap). It will damage the transmission, much as towing an AWD or rear wheel drive vehicle without disconnecting the linkage. The best option if towing a front wheel drive vehicle is to use a car dolly, or call for a wrecker or rollback truck.
You may have a blown head gasket. This needs to be repaired before you drive the vehicle or you can blow your engine.
YOU HAVE TO DRIVE IT TO HELL AND BACK Most likely either the wires to the vehicle/turbine speed sensor are broken or the vehicle/turbine speed sensor is defective
The answer depends on the volume of the reserve tank, your vehicle's fuel efficiency and your driving style plus many other factors.
No it will not.
A DRIVE
My Saturn is leaking, more like pouring, antifreeze out of a head gasket and I don't have the money to fix it. I have to get to school though which is a short drive. So basically I'm traveling 10 min with no antifreeze and my car is holding up pretty good for now. It's not a good idea and will overheat very quickly without it but I would say you can if you don't drive very far. The antifreeze will lubricate your water pump and keep your engine from freezing in the winter and overheating in the summer. You can use water instead of antifreeze in warm climates but that will end up oxidizing all the metal components (like the radiator).
If you mean the water in your radiator, don't drive your vehicle until it thaws or your engine will overheat because no coolant will be flowing through it. You should keep 50% antifreeze and 50% distilled water in your car radiator at all times. (maybe slightly more antifreeze in cold winter weather) Water in the radiator won't freeze with antifreeze mixed with it.
There is no cable but vehicle speed is picked up from the sensor located on the trans. by the right drive axle...two wires
