The chemicals in the dye or even a perm may cause the baby to have a disease or may cause the baby to have special care and special needs. Aside from the health risks to the baby, your body is going through many changes and can effect the chemicals in the hair treatment (perm or dye)and the results may not be what you intended. If you need a change, try a henna, which is all natural, not perminate and can be found at health food stores.

Your skin does absorb everything that has contact with it so it isn't wise to use dye or shampoos with harmful ingredients in them. There was a time when scientists actually said that skin doesn't absorb things, but it was proven false....hence the Birth Control patches, diet patches, quit smoking patches, etc.
