Some researchers are of the opinion that constant eating out of plastic food dishes is the cause of some kinds of cancer in animals. To be on the safe side, use a stainless steel dish. Puppies have a tendency to chew so it's best to go to a pet shop and buy a stainless steel dish (often will have rubber underneath so the dish does not slide across the floor.) Get one for a water dish as well.
If the father of the pups was a husky. Then yes that could happen.
between 5 and 6 pups
Like most dogs a Jack Russell bitch will deliver her pups about 63 days after copulation.
Jacks usually get pretty big all of my jack have needed C sections. They usually have anywhere from 2 to 8 pups.
When the pups eyes are open.
It should not be done purposely, but if it did happen, the female Jack Russell would have to have a C-section to be able to have the pups ... they would be too big to birth naturally. It would also be dangerous for her to be pregnant with pups of a much larger dog, but if she were to get pregnant with only a few instead of several, she might be OK. The pups would be medium-sized dogs ... not as small at the JR, and not as large as the collie. Anyway, because of the danger involved to the mother and subsequent pups, purposeful breeding between these two should never be done.
Keep feeding your pups and they will gain weight.
Jack Russells usally have 4-8 pups, depending on the age and somtimes size of the jack, a smaller jack can have as little as 3 but can still have a much as 8. If the dog is still young i.e 1-1/2 then they might have 3 but somtimes can still have a much as 8.
Your gonna have to feed the pups yourself if you don't your pups will die. If the dogs breast are swollen then your dog is sick.
They are hatched quite capable of feeding themselves.
Just keep feeding the pups.
Jack Russells can have between 3 and 10 puppies, narrowed down, the average is 4-8.
