They can read so much information about you, Age, Gender, Where you live, how to contact you and even what you look like which can give you stalkers or even attract perverts.
It is as safe as facebook is ( don't give personal information's to strangers )

AIM is safer since only your friends can see your info and you are only talking to your friends. People do tend to chose facebook over AIM. Ithink facebook can be less safe, and more safe. if you let all of your information out, it is less safe because everyone can see it..... if you make your photos and info more private (just to your friends... or better, no one!), then you are safe with facebook... hope this helps!
well You have To be 13 + over. I am 11 yr old and In My school people Have Facebook. . WARNING: Facebook is not Safe for under 10's. One of my friends that is under 13 got kicked off for not being the right age. Oh, and be careful who you talk to on facebook. Ever heard that saying "dont talk to strangers" ? Well, its true. Be careful and have a great time facebook-ing! :)
Does he have 200,000 people interested in him, yes, are those all his friends, probably not. They are strangers to him most likely.
It depends on how you use it.It's safe to sign up forFacebook. However, you will only be as safe as how careful you are. Some people like to edit their privacy settings to hide certain parts of their profiles from strangers on the internet. You also need to be careful who you meet, as with any website on the internet. People are not always who they say they are.So, yes it is safe to have a Facebook. But you may want to edit your pricavy settings to avoid strangers learning about you.
Explain the pros of it: 1) The only thing strangers who you are not Friends with can see is your Profile Picture and your Name. 2) Strangers cannot access your personal information unless if you are Friends with them. 3) It is probably the safest website in the universe!!
There are strangers
Kids under 13 may not have the common sense to be safe from strangers and dangerous people
The safety of facebook depends entirely on how you use it. If you set up your privacy settings so that strangers cannot see your information, then it is very safe. Facebook does not allow inappropriate material on their website. Simply don't let anyone be on your friends list unless you know them. Also it is against the rules until you are 13 years of age.... I don't recommend lying on you age however, for two reasons, Its hard and suspicious to change your age later when you might want to join a high school network... Also your lack of friends that will have facebooks will detract from the entertainment of facebook.
