Yes, you can safely make a grilled cheese sandwich in the microwave. However, the bread will be very soft and moist rather than toasted, which is the conventional way of making grilled cheese. So what you'll really have is a hot melted cheese sandwich.

You can't completely 'grill' a cheese sandwich in the microwave unless you really like soggy bread. Occasionally I do like to take this shortcut:Remove cheese from refrigerator to bring as close to room temperature as your personal time allows.Toast bread in toaster or toaster oven. (If you do not have one of these things, then you are not truly saving any time by using this method.)Place slice of cheese on each piece of toastPlace cheese covered toast slices in microwave and heat 20-30 secondsWith spatula (caution: toast will be hot), lift one toast and flip onto the other.Allow cheese to cool slightly (it really hurts when it sticks to the roof of your mouth), and enjoy! The cheese should be sufficiently melted, but toast still a bit crisp.

According to the recipe used in the related links section on food.com "Best Grilled Cheese and Turkey sandwich recipe", one sandwich will give you 342.3 Calories. However, this can vary depending on whether you add mayonnaise, butter, or any dressing of sorts. Using reduced fat cheese and extra light butter will help lower the calorie amount of the sandwich, but generally it wouldn't change the measurements a great deal.

Sandwiches can have fried or deep fried meat on them. Also meats baked in the oven, grilled on a grill, or boiled on the stovetop or heated in the microwave oven. The meat may also be cooked under the oven burner. Cheese may be melted on the meat in the oven, microwave, grill or frying pan. The bread can be toasted as well, using a grill, toaster, frying pan or oven broiler.

It would depend entirely on the types of bread and cheese used. For the bread, look on the bag to see how many calories are in a slice (remember that for most breads one slice is a serving size and that you are using two pieces of bread) and then check the label on the cheese to determine the calories and fat. An estimate would be about 250 calories from the bread, 100 calories from two slices of pre-packaged 2% fat cheese, and then if you put butter in the frying pan that could be anywhere from another 100 to 200 calories added to the grilled cheese, plus any condiments or anything else added to the sandwich. So you are probably looking at about 450 to 550 calories a sandwich with somewhere from 15 to 25 grams of fat.

I love to experiment with grilled cheese sandwiches. For example, today I put a little mustard between the slices of cheese before grilling it.

The quickest way to melt cheese is in the microwave; however, you can also melt cheese in the oven, toaster oven, in a saucepan on a burner, or even in the crock pot, depending on how you are using your cheese.

A sandwich or a bowl of soup and crackers would be easy for a child to fix, if the child is familiar with using a burner or the microwave.

The Philly Cheese-Steak sandwich originated when a cook got the idea to to grill up all the scraps from cutting steaks with onions and put them on a hoagie. Today, you can make a cheese-steak sandwich with any strips of meat you want but I am told that the "real" sandwiches are made with the chain--a strip of muscle that runs up the side of the tenderloin and is usually removed prior to using the tenderloin.

The birds sang together. There were three pieces of cheese on the sandwich. The boys were both mascots for their teams.

Pat and Harry Olivieri from Philadelphia are the ones who created the cheesesteak in the early 1930s. They ran a hotdog stand and decided to experiment a new sandwich by using chopped beef and grilled onions.

You can, but it would probably taste bad. (Hot mayo?)As long as it's mayonnaise out of a jar, not home-made, you can put a sandwich with mayonnaise in it on a sandwich grill, or in a frying pan, and it's great.Using a microwave, mayonnaise should be mixed, because otherwise its high fat content will cause it to heat before the other ingredients.

The answer depends upon a person's definition of "grill". If you are talking about cooking a slice of cheese on an open wire-type barbecue grill, then the answer would be negative since the cheese would melt and slip through the wire into the heat source. Grilling can also refer to frying or toasting food on a hot surface - as in grilled cheese sandwiches. And, yes, you can grill cheese that way without using bread.

considering ham is disgusting, then yes, i would say so Yes but only if the ham sandwich has no cheese onion or tomato in it. Nothing is better than complete happiness in life, and a ham sandwich is better than nothing, so (using transitive property of happiness) a ham sandwich is better than complete happiness in life.

Start with simple things like scrambled eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches. These require few ingredients and teach basic principles of cooking, like using a stove.

If you are adding the cheese to the broccoli, you can cook and drain the broccoli. Add the cheese while the broccoli is hot. Cover the pan with a lid and stir it occasionally. You can do this over heat or not, depending on how thick or large the pieces of cheese are. If it is shredded, it probably won't need heat.If you are using the cheese to pour over the broccoli, you can melt it in the microwave or in a saucepan over low heat, stirring often.

A double decker sandwich is a sandwich that is usually made using at least three slices of bread and usually has two layers of filling. An example is the club sandwich.

By a long distance, using a microwave is more conservative on electricity than by using resistive heating that a stove utilizes.

They can't. its up to the person using the microwave to sense when it is done.

Low fat means "less than or equal to 5% fat" - thus the amount of mayonnaise that you put in can not make the fat content of the sandwich exceed 5% (i.e not more than 5 grams of fat per 100 grams of sandwich). Thus the amount will vary according to the type of mayo that you're using, and whether the sandwich has any other fatty fillings (such as cheese).

This is the sequence of events which make a ham and cheese sandwich:Energy from the sun is absorbed by plants. These photosynthesise and grow using this energy. One of these plants is wheat.Wheat is ground to make flour. Animals eat the other plants. These animals include pigs and cows. Eating the plants transfers the energy from the plants to the animals. The ham comes from the pig. The cow produces milk, which is turned into cheese. The bread is made from the flower.

Another new approach is microwave hyperthermia , using a device called the Prostatron to deliver microwave energy to the prostate through a catheter.
