injection?
should be fine, it will have just lost some of its potency, water being the universal solvent reacts with drugs are eventually being broken down by the suspending liquid
pills?
the FDA requires an expiration date on all food grade products, even canned goods which have a potential, with proper storage, decades long shelf life nd bottled water. this is to prevent creative ways to get around proper food labeling of actual perishable products.
outside of antibiotics, most pills are fine for years after their expiration date...
think about pill production, not often vised meds must sit around for a while before being prescribed. their shelf life isn't determined by the day you pick it up you script, nor by the day they were manufactured. it's to help keep people mindful of expired products. also med manufacturers, if they only have one year before the printed "expiration date," are no longer responsible for side-effects or personal injury, previous potentially harmful versions, or recalled products. making all malpractice cases only viable for one year from prescription.
If you opened the original container, and if it is not expired, then yes it is safe to take.
No! I had this same question and called the pharmacy. They said that most medications are safe to take if they are expired, however, expired Lyrica is extremely dangerous.
You should consult your Dr, but most will say never take expired medicine.
No. If it was safe, then it wouldn't be expired.
You should not take any medications or dietary supplements that have expired.
no you will get very sick
Expired medicines should ALWAYS be thrown out. They are relatively inexpensive to replace and not worth the risk of taking an expired medication.
You can take anything you want any time....if it works or not depends on your state of mind....
non expired beef stock is not safe if not handled properly so you can imagine expired stock.
No It is never safe to take medication that has gone past its expiry date
No, hence the word expired. It is unsafe to eat anything expired. Dispose of anything expired.
i wouldn't if it is more then 3 days expired.
