Yes, it will be fine. Especially in the summer. 5W-30 would be better for winter use however.
This depends more on where you are and how you drive than the manufacturer. Most temperate zones have you use a 10W30 in the summer months and a 5W30 in the winter months. Using this as a guideline you should be pretty safe.
That would be a bad ideal. That engine has a roller valve train in it and if you use a heaver oil weight then 5w30 it will slowly burn the valve train up. In the summer hot months it is safe to use 10W30 weight oil in that engine. But the OEM specs. recommend 5W30 weight in the winter months.
10W40 is whats safe for usage on that engine. If youre using the car in the winter it is recommended to use 10W30 as a thinner oil for the colder climate
Yep, that's usually not a bad weight of oil. The caravan usually calls for 5W30, 10W30, or the newer ones use 5W20. If yours calls for 5 or 10w30, it's safe to use. However, if it calls for 5w20, it's usually safer to stick with that and don't go much heavier. Heavier oil will flow more slowly than the lighter oil so you want it to have the right viscosity or you will have less protection in your engine,
Yes you can use 5W20 oil instead of 5W30. One is just thicker then the other. The 5W20 is better in the winter and the 5W30 is better in the summer.
5W30 OIL I have read that in The hot months it is safe to run 10W30 weight. The reason you can't use heavy weight oil is because of the roller valve train. it will be to thick to lube the valve train and cause it to fail/burn up.
The exact tire pressure that is recommended by the manufacture of your vehicle. This can be found in the owners manual and normally on the drivers door post.
depending on the climate. you can use 10w30 on every car. so you could be safe by putting in 10w30
10-28-09 What the heck is 6.02 oil? A safe bet is always SAE straight 30 weight, heavy duty. Detergent is ok. Briggs synthetic 5w30 is best, but expensive. Using 5w30 or 10w30 auto oil is iffy, it doesn't handle heat very well. If you must, make sure your engine is well ventilated and clear of debris. It will also void your warranty in a high temp application...
Use what the owner's manual says. If you don't have one, you can find one at a salvage yard sometimes. It is safe to use 10w30 until you find out for sure. 10w30 is heavier oil for hotter temp. 5w30 is usually good all year round on newer vehicles, specially in winter. But if you have excessive consumption use 10w30. in older vehicles I do not recommend 5/30. i used it in my 91 van v-6 and got better gas milage, changed oil every 3000 miles for 2 oil changes then oil light came on having low oil pressure. went back to 10/30 in winter and 10/40 in summer and have not had a problem since.
Devry online is a safe and recommended website. It is a great website to use and highly recommended by many people and sites to earn an associates or bachelor degree.
YES, it is safe to use that weight of oil in the WARM months, But nothing heaver.
