I don't really know, but its different for me my mother is not friends with my ex girlfriend. I wish she would not hate her for breaking up with me... beside we are just friends now. it depends if you and your ex girlfriend are still good friends.

Actually thing is you broke up but your mother has the same relation with your ex. So you can not ask them to just stop talking. Or you should tell your mom that you don't like her talking to your ex.
