To store and preserve pharaohs when they die, they always put each one of the pharaohs in a certain pyramid
this is how the ancient Egyptians buried their Pharaohs (kings) and members of their royal families.
No. They wouldn't have ever seen or heard of gorillas.
They used it to bury their kings, or pharaohs. They used it to build the pyramid for king Khufu
they were the tombs for the Pharaohs
Pharaohs, or kings of Egypt, were put in pyramids (Egyptians considered their pharaohs to be gods). The Pyramid of Djoser (2630--2612 BC) was the first major pyramid constructed in Egypt.
Actually they did not build the pyramids to impress people. The purpose of the pyramids was to protect the bodies (and funeral goods) of the Pharaohs and other important people who were buried inside them. The ancient Egyptians had rather extreme funeral customs. The fact that pyramids are impressive is purely coincidental to their actual function.
