Is it true if you put a Ditto with a Legendary Pokemon it will breed an egg that will hatch into a Legendary Pokemon?

No, it's not true. Legendary Pokémon cannot breed with any Pokémon which includes Ditto except for Manaphy but Manaphy can only breed with Ditto and the Eggs that Ditto and Manaphy create will only hatch into a Phione.
