As Christianity has The Bible as its holy book, it becomes obvious that historical events are spoken of in its pages - however, it was not written as a history book but rather an instructional manual of sorts.

As the Bible speaks to the spiritual realm of the God beings with both angels and demons part of it, yes in this sense it is supernatural.

Christianity itself is not about history per se, but the Bible (the inspired word of God), on which Christianity is based, contains history. In fact, scholars have divided the books of the Bible into categories; one being History. Those in that group are:

  • Joshua
  • Judges
  • Ruth
  • I Samuel
  • II Samuel
  • I Kings
  • II Kings
  • I Chronicles
  • II Chronicles
  • Ezra
  • Nehemiah
  • Esther
  • Acts

Are there examples of events which are both historical and supernatural in history textbooks?

No supernatural event has ever been proven to be historical, so professional historians will tend not to describe them as such, regardless of their own private beliefs. However, history books will often mention "reports" that a supernatural event took place, or that a prophecy was reportedly fulfilled.

Why did Christianity become excepted in the Muslim society?

Generally, Christianity is not accepted in Islam. The rift dates back to the Crusades when many Muslims died at the hands of western-European Christians who pilgrimaged to Palestine (now known as Israel) to "reclaim" the land for Jesus Christ, whose existence has no historical evidence. Both Christianity and Islam are Middle Eastern mythologies. The former is a 2000 year old mythology, the latter mythology dates back to the 6th century. Both make dubious claims to a complete understanding of the origin of the universe, mankind and an eventual final destination of the universe.

Is it logical to claim an event is both supernatural and historical?

It is logical to believe in the supernatural as there is enough evidence to support that energy can be manipulated to create matter and this was done by a being who is above nature or "supernatural". This would indicate that it is logical to believe in God. It is also logical to believe that God would be able to do supernatural things. We have not seen the supernatural things (like miracles) in modern times. The bible actually said those would cease or be done away with though once the bible was completed. So whether or not you believe the bible's accounts on historic events that were supernatural would be a matter of faith in the bible. So your next question would be it is logical to have faith in the bible. Which would then lead to a persons own viewpoint. My viewpoint is yes based on a critical view of prophecy, scientific accuracy, wisdom beyond what is normal, and historical facts.
