Generally, Christianity is not accepted in Islam. The rift dates back to the Crusades when many Muslims died at the hands of western-European Christians who pilgrimaged to Palestine (now known as Israel) to "reclaim" the land for Jesus Christ, whose existence has no historical evidence.

Both Christianity and Islam are Middle Eastern mythologies. The former is a 2000 year old mythology, the latter mythology dates back to the 6th century. Both make dubious claims to a complete understanding of the origin of the universe, mankind and an eventual final destination of the universe.
