People say that German shephards are really good protection and guard dogs if that is so then why do people also say that Dobermans look more vicios especialy when so man gsds are in the police?

Dobermans were bred to be look vicios wile German shephards were bred to protect, for eg a gsd will only attack if it truelly believes that the owner or its family are in danger wile a doberman just wants to fight everything that moves, a meen u could go up to a German shephard and pet it and it wouldn't bite but if you got aggresive with the owner or family it would probably kill you pluss German shephards resemble the wolf wile a doberman resembles a monster

What police dog is the best?

It depends on what they are used for. A tracking dog - bloodhound Detection dog - Labrador patrol (bite dog) - Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, or German Shepherd Usually, it's not a particular breed, but bloodlines of a breed that are the best. Police dogs are usually bred specifically for the type of work that they will be performing. It's similar to breeding show winning dogs. You would use the best of the best for breeding, then take the ones from the litter that show the most promise, and start training from there.Other contributors have said:Usually, German Shepherds. Could a man defeat a dog like a rottweiler a Doberman or alsation if he wasnt scared?

It doesnt matter if your scared or not these are guard breeds ,they have been bred for this purpose, for eg an average German shephard or rottweiler can reach 200 to 365 ppsi that means that an average 11 to 17 stone man wouldn't stand a chance , a meen just look at all those police dogs like German shephards and belgiam shephards now tthey would rip a man to peices
