Not a traditional morgue.
A morgue
they dispose the bodies in the tower of silence
Using this word in a song title would appear to be Juke Box poison! There are alas, many morbid songs dealing with funerals-I am not referring to instrumental funeral marches- that is not strictly speaking a song. - some songs making such references would be Light my Fire ( Funeral pyre is in the lyrics), there is a song entitled Open Casket ( of all things!) There are songs entitled both Black Sabbath- could have funerary overtones- or also Devil Worship and White Room is the slang term for the morgue. in the song a man accidentally encounters a funeral party at a railroad station, and this explains the ( restless Diesels) in the song. I came into, such a sad time, at the station.. and so on. Paint It Black , by the Rolling stones is another mournful song, and oddly would make an apprpriate mortuary song for Natalie Wood! It is very rare that the word funeral, or related terms- casket, coffin, hearse, make it into the record label, though I have given some examples.
We have a funeral like everyone else. The body is taken to the morgue and normally back to the family home first or straight onto a Marae (meeting house). Before the body enters the family home or Marae a karanga (call) is done to welcome the body into the house. All whanau (family members), immediate and extended gather over a minimum of 3 days to remember and mourn for their beloved. Stories are told in rememberance of the person as well as Karakia prayers. You would normally have a Kaumatua (elder) who is kind of like an Emcee. Sometimes there are more than one. Everyone who is a visitor to a marae must be welcomed on (they are called Manuhiri (visitors), the Tangata Whenua (people of the land) will Karanga (call, kind of like a chant) them in. The chant is to invite not only the living but also their ancestors. Once in the Marae the manuhiri pay their respects to the person who has passed and the imediate family. They then go around and hongi (press noses males) and kiss the woman. On most maraes only the men are allowed to talk. The Kaumatua or priest talks and then their is a song. This goes back and forth with the manuhiri. Once everyone has said their peace you are normally invited for a cup of tea and biscuit or Kai (meal) depending on the time of day. This basically happens of the 3 - 5 day period any hour of the day.
How do we know you didn't do it? Call the morgue and ask questions!
A person who removes a corpse from the morgue is typically called a mortuary technician or a mortician.
Every hospital should have a morgue. The morgue has a distinct odor.
