No, it is not true. The Universe is much, much more than just our Solar System.
Planet Pluto is in solar system and Solar system is in the Universe t, hence Pluto is also in our universe. However Pluto was not part of original Solar sytem but was a comet which was captured in a planetary orbit.
Geocentric understanding places the Earth at the center of the solar system or universe (depending on what is being discussed, and when) A Heliocentric understanding places the sun at the center of the solar system, or universe.
There is no such privileged point in the Universe. You might say it is; but then, ANY other point is also the center of the Universe. Or it looks that way.
This would be the list in general, although there are probably moons somewhere in the universe that are larger than the earth. Earth's moon; the earth; the sun; the solar system; the galaxy; the universe.
There is no such "climate" in our solar system, but one thing is true. It is that, as we move far from the Sun, the temperature starts decreasing. That is why, at the edge of our solar system, comets(made up basically of ice) are in majority as compared to asteroids.
The Solar system has only one star
there are billions.. because the true definition of planet is every thing that floats and wandering around the universe or surrounding the sun is considered a planet.. but if you are talking about planets in our Solar System, there are 8 Pluto is just a former member of the solar system.
The Sun is the only star in our solar system.
'Helio' is Greek for Sun and 'Centric' is obviously being in the middle of things. Heliocentric is to describe the way the Solar System is, meaning the Sun is the centre of our Solar System. In earlier times, the Earth was thought to be the centre of the universe, but now we know that is not true. If the Earth wasthe centre, it would be a Geocentric Universe. Rani XD
Copemicus' theory was that earth is not the center of the universe, but that the sun is. He wrote a whole book on how the universe changed and about the earth, moon and planets travelling around the solar system. His books were banned by the Pope as this idea was different to what the Church (ignorantly) asserted. Finally another scientist proved that Copemicus' theory made more sense. The theory was finally acknowledged as being more true by the Church much later.
TRUE!!!! All the planets in the Solar system including Earth orbit the Sun, in ellipses. The Sun lies at one of the foci of these ellipses, NOT the centre. So the Sun is NOT at the 'dead' centre of the Solar system.
