Horses can control their temperature about as much as we can. The terms warm-blooded, hot-blooded and cold-blooded have nothing to do with the actual temperature of that breed of equines. It is simply a term to divide breeds into; cold-blooded, the heavier, bigger draft horses; warm-blooded, most riding breeds; and hot-blooded, Arab and Thoroughbred horses.

All warmblooded animals do not have the same body temperature. Humans have an average temperature of 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit, for example, while the average for cattle is 101.5 degrees Fahrenheit. If you're looking for the temperature of a specific warmblooded animal, I suggest you make your question more specific.

It depends, for warm-blooded animals keep their body temperatures at a relatively constant level, whereas cold-blooded animals have changing body temperatures. Cold-blooded animals do not necessarily have cold-blood, but rather change based on the environment in which they are in. Cold-blooded animals have to keep their body temperatures around a certain level, however. To do this they will move to different environments. That is why you may see some reptiles lay out in the sun occasionally. This is also why cold-blooded animals are more prone to death than warm-blooded animals in extreme temperatures.

No, that is what cold-blooded animals do. Warm-blooded animals maintain their body temperature despite changes in environmental temperatures.

Yes, warm-blooded animals tend to have a fairly constant body temperature. The scientific word for a creature with a fairly constant body temperature is thermoregulation.

There are so many animals that have the ability to keep steady body temperatures. Dogs are a great example of this.

Animals do not all have the same body temperature. For example, when bears hibernate they can reduce their body temperature and regulate their breathing to last a long time without food.

What body organ helps to keep you at a steady temperature?

The skin is the organ of the body that helps people keep a steady temperature. When it is cold the fur on the body will help keep the body warm.

Do snakes keep their body temperature steady by panting?

Snakes are not able to regulate their own body temperature and rely entirely on the environment to keep their body heat. They will do this by basking in the sun to absorb the heat and moving to cooler or warmer areas depending on the temperature.

What doesn't keep the same body temperature all day?

Cold-blooded animals never keep the same body temperature all day. Two types of cold-blooded animals are amphibians and reptiles.

What is the degree of the hotness and coldness of body?

Humans keep a steady 98.6 temperature, variations occur because of sickness or exposure to elements.

What is the degree of hotness and cold ness of body?

Why does people chill when there is a fever?

Your body temperature rises above room temperature which makes you body feel cold. Animals in the desert uses the same method to keep cool

What does cold blooded and warm blooded mean?

Cold-blooded animals have a variable body temperature which reflects the environmental temperature (eg. fish and reptiles). Warm-blooded animals keep their core body temperature at a nearly consistent level regardless of the temperature of the surrounding environment (eg. birds and mammals).

What does the body do to keep the temperature the same?

Why warmblooded animals need to eat far more than cold blooded animals?

Warm blooded animals don't have to wait until it's warm to move around, because they create their own heat. Cold blooded animals, like snakes, must get their temperature up first before they can go about their daily business.

Why are certain organisms scuh as mammals regarded as warm blooded?

I think it's because the way our body is formed from the so called, "First humans" on earth. and by that, the first humans have to be warm blooded to keep warm. they didn't have lots of shelter, and so they had to be warm. They did have hair, but they needed more than that. That's how our body works. But it is not important that mammals have to be warm blooded.

Are amphibians endotherms?

endotherms are the animals (or whatever) that have internal metabolic means for regulating their constant body temperature . but amphibians have to keep themselves in an environment that match their body temperature. so they are ectotherms and not endotherms. they maintain their body temp. by changing their exposure to sunlight, contact with ground, and hibernation etc

Why small homeothermic animals like hummingbird restrict to warm climate only?

Smaller animals, like hummingbirds, can't keep their body temperature warm as larger animals because they are so small.
