Open to interpretation and how the boy acts.

If he laughs after he says something mean to you, he most likely likes u.

if he says something mean and doesnt laugh, he's probably not kidding.

Being mean to someone doesn't show liking whether there's laughter involved or not. Why would you let a boy know it's OK to say mean things to you?

That's what you're doing if you allow it - and if he laughs thinking it's funny, that's even worse.

Sometimes yes .Most likely though ,he's either a bully or testing you .He wants to see if you'll let him push you around or testing the water to see if your cool enough to be around him .Anyone that has to act mean to get to know something about someone ,usually has something their not happy about in their life and is mean to other people .Being mean to people makes some people feel better .If that's the problem then he needs therapy .
