To say that Religion is there to divide us is like saying food preference, or any choice-based thing is there to divide us.
First of all, religions were started by several different people and groups, so if it was only there to divide us, these people and groups (which span over thousands of years) would have had to agree "Hey, lets divide everyone by making different religions". Not likely, in fact, impossible.
Religion, and any kind of belief system or preference, CAN divide us, and oftentimes we allow it to, however it is no more at fault than is our skin colors. The truth is, humans often LOOK to be divided from "those people" because we are afraid of what is different, and we can't bare the thought of being wrong, so we battle against people, thoughts ad things which are in contrast to our own ways of doing life.
in closing, t say religion is there to divide us also inadvertently subscribes to the thought that there is a higher power whose purpose is to divide people. We divide ourselves quite fine without a deity helping us. If religion didn't exist, we would divide ourselves shot people from tall people, fat people from skinny people, et cetera. Humans can be dumb like that.
Jesus didn't found a religion. He came to save us. He gave us something to believe in. He told us Truth. That was the beginnings of Christians which means "Little Christ" because we are suppose to love as Christ loved. Christianity is not a religion.
First Noble Truth, Second Noble Truth, Third Noble Truth and Fourth Noble Truth are the terms of enlightenment in each religion.
Religion of peace and truth
Yes.However, as long as you can see the lies of society and religion, you will see the truth behind them. Truth does not equate happiness, but rather shows what happiness is.Wisdom is a far greater thing than either truth or happiness, and once you have achieved it, neither will matter to you.Answer:We prefer to investigate for ourselves; and many of us have decided that we trust God and religion.
A knowledge of God and his ways is the direction to truth.
The things that divide us are fences, money, build high walls, nationality, religion, color, gender, greed, middle class and poor class
Through truth.

In science, everything must be questioned in order to find the truth. In religion, it is assumed the truth is known but must never be questioned.
When it comes to religion it is another subject. In the United States your opinion is "respected" as in one of the first written declarations, known as The Bill Rights, which awfully relates to The Ten Commandments. In this world we all need an excuse, an excuse to seggregate and divide. Some of us want to be superior then others. In some cases religion is what divides us, Christians, Jews, Buddhist anything even from one religion we divide! As in roman Catholics. There is no reason why it is important but what we truly believe, and that is why "religion" is taken so important, as in to our "crazy world."
John Francis Kane has written: 'Pluralism and truth in religion' -- subject(s): Christianity, History, History of doctrines, Religion, Religious aspects of Truth, Truth
Honestly, nobody can say why. But if I had to say anything, I would say they are scared about what society has taught them, and it's a waste of fear. -it is important not to confuse religion with your beliefs. Beleifs are what make you who you are, religion is just a group of people all on the same. Religion doesn't define you your beliefs do. ++ People are born religious. Fear has nothing to do with the subject. Be careful not to confuse religion with tradition/beliefs.
