In my opinion, I wouldn't date a freshman because he is way to old for you and trust it will not work cause he might expect you to act mature while you are still in 7th grade you might be older but still you are in your childhood

At grade 6, you are not of dating age. With dating comes a lot of responsibilities, decisions and emotions that your mom obviously feels you are not ready for, in which she is right. Don't be in so much of a hurry - there is so much time in your future for dating then you will be overwhelmed. Enjoy being young and innocent while you can.

Something similar happened at my school. The guy was a year older than the girl and they both liked each other. Then they went out for a little while and they are still going out. So take their advice but make sure she likes you before taking this advice.

First off: Seventh graders should not be dating. Not SERIOUSLY. Second: If he's not "in the crowd", that shouldn't matter to you. Just because someone is different doesn't mean they aren't worth going out with. Third: In answer to your question, I would say no. Being a 9th grader now, I would wait a while. You will be a completely different person next year, and the year after. You will get to know who you are a lot better and be a much more mature person.

I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I am in the 11th grade, and have feeling for a 13 yr old in the 8th grade also. I'm 16. My parents are 14 years apart. At this age is seem kinda weird but think of you both being 10 years older. Like me, there would be nothing wrong, and it happens all the time, for a 26 year old to be with a 23 year old. See what I'm trying to say?
