Solar energy systems can save you money in the long term so yes
Sunshine is solar energy. It is free if you collect your own solar energy because nobody legally owns the sun (and nobody ever will), therefore solar energy from the sun is free. However if you depend on a thrid party to deliver the energy to you from a solar power station, it will cost you a maintenance and delivery fee, to pay for the upkeep of the station. However, if you install your own solar panels rather than relying on a third party, it will cost you to install solar panels on your home, to convert your home to using solar energy and to take your home "off the system" (to remove your dependency from nationally-produced power). But it will not cost you anything to use solar energy from your own solar panels. In a couple of years, you would have produced enough personal energy from solar power to make the cost of the conversion worth it.
Solar energy, while being quite useful, can also have it's own problems. For example, how does solar energy work if you occupy a place that rains most of the time? The sun is never out so, no solar-power. Furthermore, the rate of efficiency with solar panels is only 40%, is it worth all the money that is paid for them?
To evaluate the cost vs. savings on solar installation, get an estimate of what installation would cost at www.solar-estimate.org/. Also you may be eligible for state or local rebates. If you can sae the cost of installation of solar in 5 years or less, then it is worth it.
There is a big investment upfront with the generators; however, in the long run it will payoff financially. You must also take into account the benefits of having power, when electricity is out and environmental advantages.
20 million dollars
It won't be so useful as in a place with plenty of direct sun, but can still be worth having. Probably not enough to convert, but enough to supplement, is the best way to think of it.
Renewable energy is not so commercialized because it is too expensive. If you were to place enough solar panels on your roof to be able to just use solar energy, you need ten years worth of time in order to make the electric bills the same, and that does not include the expensive batteries that need replacing!
£60.000
!.1 Billion dollars.
Herefords are worth just as much as Angus cattle are, both in terms of value and financially.
it is more expensive but its probably worth not having to buy fuel etc. for whatever you are going to use it for
