Is it wrong for a 14 year old to date a 17 year old?

One view- No it is not alright. The age difference is too much. A 17 year old is too mature and will probably want to engage in sexual contact while the 13 year old is too young and inexperienced to be in a relationship of that matter.

Another view- Exactly. Also, adults (18 and above) are not allowed to relate with teens. As soon as he's eighteen, its wrong. Not that it isn't wrong in the first place because it is.

Another view- If they are in love then it's possible. You can't split up true love. Sooner or later if they really love each other they will start sneaking out of the house or finding a way to get together. I have a friend who is 46 and has a husband that is 65. They have been married for 26 years. The truth is, true love will always find its way back. But, if it's just a "thing" that the teens do then no.

Another view- They can but it's not wise and in some states illegal.

Another view - No, they cant date each other. They can get weird sickness, and die from it if they get to involved with each other.

no, of course not. why should there be an age limit of who you go out with?? my parents are married there is 4 years between them. why should your age stop you from going out with the person you really like??

No and here's why, 13 year olds have really high hormones and will do anything. 17 year old guys are just maturing and want to do stuff with girls they know they can get something out of. Like 13 girls for instance.

no it is not. there is 7 years between me and my husband and we love each other. so I mean you cant help who you fall for. Love is more powerful then anything. Some people have 15 years between them. Dont let anyone tel you its wrong.

Yes. The 19 year old could be in real trouble if the 13 year old even hints at something going on. And there is only one reason a College age person would be dating someone that young and that is illegal.

There are no laws about dating ages, so it is legal to date. There are laws about sexual activity and this would be a big problem at this age! In most places you have to be at least 16 to consent, if not 17 or 18. Some states have exceptions for close in age, measured by days, not the years.
