While it may sometimes be justified, there are better ways to resolve an argument or issue. Figure out why you are angry with him, tell him you are upset and (if he doesn't already know) what he did wrong, then wait for him to apologise and/or fix the problem. Calling him names only makes him sadder or angrier too, and that does not help you fix the problem, nor to keep him as a boyfriend very long.
It is not necessarily wrong to be unable to put one's anger aside in a relationship. While rational dialogue is useful in reaching agreement, sometimes communicating one's feelings is integral to a relationship, specifically when problems occur (which often leads to anger).
