We take the eggs daily, sometimes right after they lay (if we are in the area) and some time a couple hours after.

In most cases you can persuade a broody hen to stop brooding by continually removing her from the nest. This may take a few days up to a week. Remove eggs daily, move the hen from the nest and refuse her access to that nest for as long as possible daily.
It takes about 3 months, but don't get discouraged. They will hatch.
No,if not wrong.
That greatly depends on how many chickens you have. One chicken will lay one egg a day. so, if you have 10 chickens you will get 10 eggs daily.
Yes they defiantly can :) I have 3 Hens no Roster here and we get eggs daily
For a guy I do not know but for a girl it.
She will have more than one egg under her and she will stay on the nest day and night. She may peck at you when you reach for her. This is called BROODING. If you do not have a rooster in the flock you might as well take the eggs from her as they will be infertile. A broody hen will stop brooding if you remove the eggs daily. This may take a week or more of dodging a well aimed beak.
