no! they are both totally different! in lola rose, jayni, Kenny and their mum leave jaynis abusive, violent father after her mum wins £10,000 on a scratch card. they go 2 London and 4 the first few days they stay in a hotel and go shopping loads then they find a flat and they change their names, start a new school etc and then mum gets ill (with breast cancer) so jayni (or lola rose) calls their mums sister Barbara and things go on from their but in cookie, her dad isn't violent or anything and they are a lot richer than the family in lola rose, her dad is just annoyin cuz he is really fussy about his house and is controllin and stuff, also lola rose has friends and beauty doesnt and when beauty and her mum run away they tell her dad they r goin but in lola rose theyn go in secret and they go to the seaside and loads of different things happen. i see what u mean tht they both have the same "running away from father storyline" but they are both soooooooooo different that i never even noticed that! hope i helped! jess xxx
